HB 19

LC0295
Diane Sands
Clarify that the Clean Indoor Air Act applies to smoking of medical marijuana

  1. Representative Hill,
Missoula County Supports HB 19 - Clarify that the Clean Indoor Air Act applies to smoking of medical marijuana, heard before the House Human Services Committee this afternoon. We would also like to thank Representative Sands for carrying the bill. Montana's Clean Indoor Air Act protects the public from exposure to second-hand smoke in indoor environments. The health hazards of smoke, whether it be from tobacco or other substances including marijuana, include lung disease, heart disease, and cancer. Secondly, no one should inadvertently be exposed to another person's medication.
    Please support HB 19.
    Respectfully,
Dale Bickell on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners
