Beth McLaughlin, with the Supreme Court Administrator's office, indicated that this bill is being presented at their request. It's essentially a "clean up" bill which amends one statute that was missed during court assumption. It provides for interpretor costs in District Court proceedings to be paid by the Court Adminstrator's office rather than the Counties. This bill be will supported by the Montana Association of Clerks of District Court.
Representatives Sands and Hill, Missoula County supports House Bill 65, Revise payment for court interpretation services. This bill cleans up language from the State's assumption of District Court.
