We worked on this but were unable to stop it. So this new exemption for "charitable organizations" will likely continue on through. However, we did try to amend the bill so that at least registration with the local health department occured (delete that strikeout). This would allow us to educate in safe food preparation practices and to trace back among exposed people if contamination did occur. I am copying Jim here so he can weigh in on how much lobbying time and resource can and should go into trying to at least keep the registration language back in.
