SB 103

LC0782
Verdell Jackson

Water permit exemption for heating and cooling applications

1 comment:

  1. Missoula Senators:

Missoula County supports Senate Bill 103 - Water permit exemption for heating and cooling applications, before the Senate on second reading this afternoon. SB 103 provides that a ground water permit is not required for a well or developed spring for use in heating or cooling applications where substantially all of the water returns without delay to the source of supply. These type of wells are the most efficient way to heat and cool structures. Since they do not consume ground water and only use groundwater as a heat source or sink, they do not affect the water rights of others. Please support SB 103.
    Respectfully,
Dale Bickell on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners
