Missoula County supports House Bill 530 - allow counties to prepare ballots before election day, as amended. HB 530 will help election administrators manage the ever increasing number of permanent absentee ballots. The simple act of being able to open the envelopes and flatten the ballots will prevent election night jamming of tabulating machines and frustrating delays with results. The opened ballots will be provided the same level of secrecy and security that is presently afforded the unopened ballots. Please support HB 530.
