Representative Edmunds, Missoula County opposes House Bill 612 - Generally revise state healthcare laws to implement House Bill No. 2, before House Appropriations tomorrow morning. HB 612 strikes down a voter-approved law specifically appropriating money to tobacco use prevention. The tobacco use prevention funds have reduced youth smoking by almost half. HB 612 also adversely impacts more than 11,000 seniors who rely on the Big Sky Rx program for prescription medications. Please oppose HB 612.
