With the exception of the SO, rural fire districts, and the City have more of an interest in that Missoula County. The fire districts are the real flash point, since it's their fees that led to the bill, and they're opposing it. We should keep an eye on this one and see how it goes on the first cut. I don't think the bill is good policy, but the whole thing is sutuational enough I'm not sure if any voices outside the fire service will carry much weight. Does anybody know what MACO is doing on this? BR
