  1. Message sent to Rep Barrett & Malek:

Missoula County supports House Bill 460 - revise unit ownership act to exclude townhouses, before the House Taxation Committee tomorrow morning. HB 460 would authorize the Department of Revenue to create a method to value townhouses since none exist now and would set the market value of a townhouse for a financial transaction. Please support HB 460.
    Respectfully,
Dale Bickell on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners

  3. Sent the following to Senator Erickson on Senate Taxation:

    Senator Erickson,
Missoula County supports House Bill 460 - Revise unit ownership act affecting townhouses, before Senate Taxation tomorrow morning. HB 460 would define townhouses and authorize the Department of Revenue to create a method to value them since none exist now, and would set the market value of a townhouse for a financial transaction. The bill would also enable the option to apply the Unit Ownership Act to a townhouse development. Please support HB 460.
    Respectfully,
Dale Bickell on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners

  4. Amended into a bad bill - references condo exemption and could be interpreted to allow townhouse lots to avoid subdivision review.
